Intensive technical and business training to empower indigenous women, as an alternative to generating short-term income, in order to alleviate the critical situation of their families.

TARGET: Enhancing the self steem, and the productive and business capacities of 90 needy indigenous women from little rural communities.
MAIN ACTIVITIES: 6 training courses are held covering the technical, business and human areas: traditional clothing dressmaking, basketry and costume jewelry with different fibers and materials, machine embroidery and weaving made on backstrap loom, commercial bakery, commercial confectionery and local sweets, and fruit and vegetable packaging. The beneficiaries are helped to draw up a life plan, and a business plan.
IMPACT:
90 needy indigenous women would have received technical and business training to start up micro-enterprises either individually or as a group.
72 (80%) women enter the productive process, consolidating their micro-enterprises, improving its productivity and marketing channels.
18 (20%) women produce occasionally and enter gradually the productive process
