Dete Shool Canteen

The project “Dete School Canteen” aims to contribute to the education of the children who attend the Saint Francis Xavier School in Dete (Zimbabwe), three other colleges in the area and an asylum. The aim is to provide a daily meal to the children attending the schools. Of the 2000 children attending the school, more than 600 are orphans who are cared for by their families, mainly by the grandmothers, who are the only survivors of an AIDS epidemic that is ravaging the population. The last three courses the college of St. Francis obtained the best results of the academic colleges in the area. in part due to the supplementary feeding students received daily. This project of education seeks to encourage a healthy growth, for we know that the first step to overcome underdevelopment is the schooling of the population
