Food pantry for children with the HIV virus

A food pantry to provide daily nourishment to children carrying the HIV virus has been established, so that children who formerly ate only one meal a week can now eat a daily meal. The nutritional content of the food has been enriched to alleviate hunger and encourage deficiency-free growth. The 400 children helped in this way are served by 20 volunteers who make up an active part of the project. Our local partner, Ketameko Devopment Foundation of Walvis Bay, has been working for ten years to bring relief to these sick children.
