TARGET: The seminar was aimed at parents and education practiciioners, in particular, art history and history teachers in Estonia, as well as primary school teachers. The aim at the workshop was to think about the family as a vehicle to spread values from generation to generation. The seminar stressed the value of historical and national identity. It is in the family where everyone learns to love those around him, the society, and his own country. This year Estonia celebrated its 800º anniversary as Maarjamaa (Land of Mary).
MAIN ACTIVITIES: Development of a seminar where two lectures were given, with the participation of 34 families.
IMPACT: The seminar has succeeded in providing parents with practical tools to help them educate their families in the values of understanding, tolerance and social harmony, when conveying the national identity and history within the family. Strengthening of the teamwork with other associations that support the institution of the family and its beneficial value for society. The seminar has had an important multiplaying effect, as it has provided an opportunity to publicize the
NGO Cultura y Familia.
