Health training for 125 volunteers of communities particularly vulnerable to natural disasters in the Department of Retalhuleu

TARGET: Strengthening skills and health services of the first level in rural and periurban communities of the Department of Retalhuleu.
MAIN ACTIVITIES: Providing health training for 125 new volunteers. Conducting 8 medical care workshops for an average of 20 people per day suffering nutritional deficiencies, up to a total of 160 people. Making a contingency plan for natural disasters by offering a guide to establish the guidelines for action in the event of natural disasters. In total, 4 one-day workshops are scheduled with an average attendance of 50 people per workshop.
IMPACT: Design and implementation of a contingency plan to respond effectively to natural disasters with the help of 200 people trained to that purpose. Training of 125 new health care volunteers to improve health skills and services of the first level in rural communities of Retalhuleu. Training for 160 people to reduce nutritional deficiencies.
