Humanitarian aid in Cuba after the hurricane Sandy

The project is aimed to meet the basic needs of 5,800 people affected by the hurricane Sandy, by fighting hunger, searching for basic housing, and improving sanitary and food conditions.
Direct care is supported by the infrastructure of volunteering, both in the rural and peri-urban and urban areas. The volunteers distribute food, medicines, clothing, footwear, bedding, towels and household utensils, as well as repair the damages in the affected homes. These consist of roofings, repair and installation of new toilets, wiring and drinking water systems.
