Understanding the Family”: Parents’ support in the development of young people”

AIM: Development of a series of activities aimed at promoting the institution of the family in the face of the current situation faced by Finland.
ACTIVITIES: There have been held a series of conferences, workshop and seminars during 2016 with the theme “The parents’ support in the development of young people”. There have also been organized monthly meetings with a conference and an exchange of experiences and ideas for grandmothers (“forging character”). Workshops on values education for mothers with small children. A one-day seminar for parents and educators in general: “UNDERSTANDING THE FAMILY” with the aim of raising awareness of the challenges and possibilities of the family in our society, and to provide the necessary tools to strengthen the family life.
IMPACT: The project has enabled them to provide tools to defend and argue in favour of family values . Promote the “understanding the family” concept, by reinforcing the self-acceptance and fully respecting the idiosyncrasies of each member of the family. Help them feel valued and supported by other families who are pursuing the same goal.
