It is a religious community commited since 1942 to help women from prostitution backgrounds, and victims of trafficking for the purposes of sexual explitationl. VILLA TERESITA is present in 5 Spanish cities through its centres and foster homes: Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Las Palmas and Pamplona. It´s overall action covers comprenhensive care progammes (from a legal, social, medical, psychological, training and work point of view), created on the basis of the interaction with the women, and their searching for alternatives to the social exlclusion and human rights abuses suffered. PROJECT: “ Villa Teresita’s Workshops”. The project aims to facilitate the social and labour insertion of immigrant women suffering exclusion, or women at risk of suffering exclusion, an “invisible” group of victims of trafficking for the purposes of sexual explitation. This integration will be achieved through the hosting of the Villa Teresita’s Workshops; these workshops are aimed at improving their employability and empowerment, in order to facilitate their access to standarized companies to provide them with economic and personal autonomy. The key value is to host every woman to make her feel “SPECIAL and UNIQUE”. This includes paying particular attention to every one of them by designing personalised pathways, so that every woman can bring out the best of herself and succeed in integrating into the society.
