Strengthening nutritional and food security of the vulnerable population in 3 rural communities from Tacaná, San Marcos

The project seeks to improve the availability, access, use, and sustainability of food for the indigenous rural population in 3 rural communities of Tacaná. This includes actions such as the operational planning for the establishment of domestic production units and integrated production systems; the establishment of 200 domestic agricultural and livestock production units (agricultural orchards and livestock farms); the construction of 30 integrated production systems (rainwater harvesting, drip irrigation and greenhouses); technical support at least during the food production cycle. Training and monitoring of 600 households and provision of nutritional supplies and a nutritional booklet to children and pregnant mothers suffering from malnutrition
